Mr. Soria was riding his bicycle
southbound in the right
lane of Washington Blvd., in Hayward, CA, adjacent to the parked cars. One of Rogers
Trucking’s refrigerated semi
tractor-trailer rigs attempted to pass him to his left.
He was caught under the rear wheel of
the
trailer and crushed.
We investigated and reconstructed this
accident and showed
that the semi was entirely within the right lane at the time of impact,
it had
attempted to pass Mr. Soria without adequate room, it had veered to the
right
when forced by traffic in the adjacent lane, and it had run into Mr.
Soria.
