The developer of this HOA went bankrupt
and never completed
the project; the work that was complete did not meet building code
requirements
even though it was inspected and approved; the design was changed
without a
plan check; the city stopped construction and required redesign
&
reconstruction; and the units were sold as-is out of foreclosure. We collected and organized
all of the
documentation, inspected the building to determine what was complete
and what
met code, and negotiated a compromise solution with the city; and we
prepared a
plan that allowed the work to be performed in stages as funding became
available.
