After successfully
suing the developer & contractor of
this apartment complex, The Related Companies hired us to design
repairs
for the water
damage & structural
decay, new siding and waterproofing in the most severely damaged areas,
new
waterproofing & drainage details, and retrofit old windows with
new
thermally efficient windows. The
design,
construction, and inspections were done under the watchful eye of the
San Jose
Housing Authority, HUD, and the Building Department while meeting tight
end-of-year deadlines for substantial compliance in order to preserve
several
million dollars worth of tax credits from the IRS.
